Pear

Pear is a sweet fruit commonly used to make marmalade, cake, pastry, jam, and formula. It’s one of those fruits that both kids and adults enjoy eating. Due to the long growing season, the fruit, which has a very exquisite taste, is a product that you can obtain from markets whenever you want. There are about 30 different pear species in certain places in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Turkey ranks fourth in the world in pear production. The world’s annual pear production is around 24 million tons, of which 500-550 thousand tons are produced in Turkey. Forty percent of Turkey’s pear production is made in Bursa. In Turkey, 64.83 thousand tons of pears were exported in 2020, increasing by 33.2% compared to the previous year.
