Turkey is the 3rd of the world in production with 62.900 tons. With the %9,6 export share of total production. Chestnut picking is generally done manually, picking is done by using wooden sticks and poles, hitting the fruits on the branches and cause them fall on the ground. Chestnuts are divided based on criteria such as pieces per kg and sizes 45-55, 55-65,65-75 and 75-85 and then they are separated with calibrated machines, polished and put through selection process.
